Edward James “Jim” Corbett born in July 25th 1875 was a legendry British hunter and tracker, famous for tracking down man-eating tigers and leopards in India. The legend of Jim Corbett is still alive in the minds and hearts of the people. In his memory, we started JCM International Salon in 2002 till 2005 (Prints and Slides in Nature and Wildlife).
Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art and the only language that can be understood anywhere in the world. It is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. It is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything. Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.
Taking this opportunity we invite all professional as well as amateur photographers to come up with new ideas and photographs to show their work in our exhibition.
JCM PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY is in process of Introducing new photography clubs from various parts of India.
